Description
Indications Â
Refresh Tears is an ophthalmic medication indicated for the temporary alleviation of burning, irritation, and discomfort caused by dryness of the eye or exposure to wind or sun. It may also serve as a protective measure against further irritation.Â
Refresh Tears contains carboxymethylcellulose sodium as its active ingredient. It acts promptly to lubricate and moisturize the eyes, providing relief from dryness and irritation.Â
Uses and DosageÂ
Before using Refresh Tears and every time you get a refill, carefully review its medication guide and patient information leaflet. Should you have any questions, consult your doctor or pharmacist.Â
Typically, 1 to 2 drops of Refreshed Tears are administered in the affected eye(s) as needed.Â
Before use, visually inspect the solution for any changes in color or cloudiness. If such changes are observed, refrain from using the product.Â
To avoid contamination, refrain from touching the dropper’s tip and ensure it does not come into contact with the eye or any other surfaces.Â
To properly administer this eye drop, follow these steps:Â
- Begin by washing your hands thoroughly.Â
- Tilt your head back and look up, then gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a pouch.Â
- Directly position the dropper over the eye and dispense 1 or 2 drops in the pouch created as required.Â
- After applying the eye drop, keep your eyes closed and apply pressure to the inside corner of the eye for 1 to 2 minutes to help retain the medication within the eye.Â
- Securely replace the cap on the dropper after each use.Â
If using other eye drops or ointments in addition to Refresh Tears, wait at least 5 minutes before applying them. Administer eye drops before ointments to allow the drops to effectively enter the eye.Â
Discontinue the use of Refresh Tears and consult a doctor if you encounter eye pain, alterations in vision, persistent redness, irritation, or if the condition worsens or persists beyond 72 hours.Â
