Orajel Severe Triple Medicated Gel is a product that provides instant pain relief for severe oral pain and painful gums. It is specifically formulated for the temporary relief of oral pain due to minor irritation or injury of the mouth and gums. Orajel Severe Triple Medicated Gel contains benzocaine as its active ingredient. Benzocaine is a local anesthetic, which means it works by numbing the area where it is applied. When applied topically to the gums or inside the mouth, benzocaine blocks nerve signals, reducing pain and providing temporary relief. 

Use and Dosage 

Orajel comes in a tube and can be applied directly to the affected area up to four times a day or as directed by a healthcare professional. Adults and children who are 2 years or older can apply the gel directly to the affected area up to four times per day or as directed by a healthcare professional. 

To use Orajel Severe Triple Medicated Gel, follow the instructions below: 

1. Wash your hands thoroughly before applying the gel. 
2. Squeeze a small amount of gel onto your fingertip or a cotton swab. 
3. Gently apply the gel directly to the affected area of your mouth or gums. Note: Be careful not to apply too much gel or spread it too widely, as it may cause numbing of the tongue or throat. 
4. Massage the gel into the affected area using a clean finger or cotton swab. 
5. Do not eat, drink, or rinse your mouth for at least 1 hour after applying the gel to allow it to have maximum effect. 
6. Repeat the application up to 4 times daily or as directed by your healthcare provider. 

Remember to read the instructions provided with the product and follow them carefully. If the pain persists or worsens after 7 days of use, or if you experience any adverse reactions, stop using the gel and consult a healthcare professional.

• The gel is meant for external use only and should not be swallowed. Be cautious while applying the gel to prevent accidental ingestion, especially in children. 
• Take care to avoid getting the gel in your eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. 
• Store the gel in a safe place away from children and pets to prevent accidental ingestion. 
• Do not apply the gel to open sores or wounds in your mouth or gums. It is intended for use on minor oral irritations only. 
• Orajel Severe Triple Medicated Gel contains benzocaine, which is a local anesthetic that can cause temporary numbness in the applied area. Avoid chewing, biting, or hot food or drink until the numbness wears off to prevent injury. 
• This gel is not recommended for use on infants and should not be used as a teething remedy. Consult a pediatrician for appropriate teething solutions for infants. 
• If you experience any irritation, rash, or burning sensation after applying the gel, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. 
• Using more than the recommended amount of gel or applying it too frequently can potentially cause overdose symptoms such as restlessness, dizziness, irregular heartbeat, seizures, or difficulty breathing. If you suspect an overdose, seek immediate medical attention. 
• Store the gel at room temperature, away from heat and direct sunlight. Check the expiration date and discard any expired product.
