Drug Description

Indications

Okacin is an Eye Drops used for the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye, such as bacterial conjunctivitis and corneal ulcers that are caused by susceptible bacterial species.

The active ingredient in Okacin Eye Drops is Lomefloxacin Hydrochloride, which is an antibiotic medication that works by inhibiting the growth and reproduction of bacteria.

Use and Dosage

Okacin is typically administered as eye drops, and the dosage and duration of treatment will depend on the severity of the infection and the patient’s response to the medication.

To use Okacin Eye Drops:

  1. You should first wash your hands.
  2. Then, tilt your head back and pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket.
  3. Hold the dropper directly over the eye and squeeze one drop of the medication into the pocket.
  4. Close your eye and gently press on the inner corner of the eye for one to two minutes.
  5. The process should be repeated for the other eye if both eyes are being treated.

Follow your healthcare provider’s instructions for the specific dosing regimen and duration of treatment with Okacin Eye Drops.

Administer the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not instill a double dose to make up for the missed one.
