Description
IndicationsÂ
Nolvadex D is a prescription medicine used to treat cancer. It can also be used to reduce the chances of breast cancer in high-risk patients, such as those with a family history of the disease or those with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS).Â
Nolvadex D contains the active ingredient tamoxifen citrate. It belongs to a group of medications known as antineoplastics. It works by blocking the effects of the hormone estrogen in the body. Estrogen can promote the growth of certain types of breast cancers that are estrogen receptor-positive. By blocking estrogen’s effects, it can help prevent the growth and spread of these cancers.Â

Take Nolvadex D by mouth with or without food, as directed by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.Â
