Indications
NILANDRON tablets are prescribed for concurrent administration with surgical castration as part of a comprehensive therapeutic approach for managing metastatic prostate cancer at Stage D2.
To optimize therapeutic efficacy, initiating NILANDRON treatment should coincide with or commence the day following the procedure of surgical castration.
Uses and Dosage
The recommended dosage regimen for NILANDRON entails an initial administration of 300 mg once daily for 30 days. Subsequently, the regimen transitions to a maintenance phase, with a reduced dosage of 150 mg once daily.
Initiation of Treatment:
- Commencement of NILANDRON therapy should coincide with the day of, or the day following, surgical castration.
Administration with Food:
- NILANDRON tablets can be ingested with or without a meal.
Caution Regarding Discontinuation:
- Only discontinue the medication with prior consultation with their healthcare provider. Please consult your physician before discontinuing NILANDRON.
Side Effects
Severe Side Effects
NILANDRON has the potential to elicit significant adverse reactions. Promptly contact your healthcare provider should you experience any of the following symptoms:
- Chest pain, accompanied by wheezing, dry cough, and fever
- Exacerbation or emergence of shortness of breath
- Flu-like symptoms are characterized by pallor, fatigue, or weakness
- Indications of liver dysfunction, such as:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Loss of appetite
- Right-sided upper abdominal discomfort
- Flu-like manifestations
- Darkened urine
- Jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes)
Common Side Effects
NILANDRON may give rise to more common side effects, including:
- Hot flashes
- Dizziness
- Constipation
- Nausea or vomiting, accompanied by a decreased appetite
- Skin rash
- Reduced libido or impotence
- Changes in vision

Cautions

Notably, NILANDRON is contraindicated for use in women, and the effects during pregnancy or on breastfeeding women remain undetermined. Exercise caution and consult your healthcare professional regarding the benefit under such circumstances.
