Indications 

Gravol Adult is indicated for preventing and managing motion sickness-related symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. 

Classified as an antihistamine, Gravol functions by inhibiting the H1 receptor in the body, which plays a crucial role in the manifestation of motion sickness symptoms. 

Uses and Dosage 

Prior to using Gravol Adult, carefully review the product package and accompanying information leaflet. For any inquiries, seek guidance from your healthcare provider or pharmacist. 

The initial dose of this medication should be taken at least 30 minutes before travel but taking it 1 to 2 hours beforehand is preferable. 

The usual recommended dosages of Gravol are listed below; if your doctor prescribes differently, adhere to their instructions. 

• Adults and individuals aged 12 years and older:  
  • 1 or 2 tablets every 4 hours as needed, not exceeding 8 tablets within 24 hours. 
• Children 6-11 years old: 
  •  1/2 to 1 tablet every 6 to 8 hours as needed, not exceeding 3 tablets within 24 hours. 

For optimal results, take Gravol Adult exactly as outlined on the packaging or as prescribed by your doctor. 

Side Effects

Promptly inform your doctor if any of these symptoms persist or deteriorate. 

• Dizziness 
• Drowsiness 
• Dryness in mouth, nose, or throat 
• Increased mucus thickness in the nose or throat 
• Nervousness or excitability 
• Headache 
• Decreased appetite 
• Sleep disturbances 
• Fatigue or weakness 

Serious Side Effects 

• Difficulty urinating 
• Painful urination 
• Rapid heartbeat 
• Blurred vision 
• Restlessness 

Promptly inform your doctor if any of these serious adverse reactions occur. 

Allergic Reactions 

In rare instances, Gravol Adult may trigger a severe allergic reaction. Seek immediate medical aid if you experience any signs of a severe allergic response, such as: 

• Hives 
• Swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat 
• Rash 
• Itching 
• Red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin (with or without fever) 
• Wheezing 
• Chest or throat tightness 
• Difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking 
• Unusual hoarseness

Cautions 

Consult your doctor before taking Gravol Adult if you have any known hypersensitivities, particularly to dimenhydrinate or any of the ingredients of this filmkote tablet. 

Ask your doctor if Gravol Adult is safe to use if you have medical problems and if you have a history of: 

• Respiratory issues (e.g., asthma, emphysema) 
• Elevated eye pressure (glaucoma) 
• Heart conditions 
• Hypertension 
• Liver disease 
• Seizures 
• Gastrointestinal problems (e.g., ulcers, blockages) 
• Hyperthyroidism 
• Urinary difficulties (e.g., enlarged prostate) 

Consult your doctor to determine the safety of using Gravol Adult in conjunction with topical antihistamines (e.g., diphenhydramine cream, ointment, spray) or other medications, including prescription and over-the-counter drugs and vitamins and herbal supplements. 

Exercise caution when operating a motor vehicle or machinery or engaging in any activity requiring alertness while under Gravol’s medication’s influence. 

Seek medical advice before consuming Gravol Adult during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
