Indications 

Frontline Plus for Extra Large Dogs is a topical veterinary medication used to eliminate fleas, ticks, and chewing lice while preventing the development of flea eggs. 

Frontline Plus for Extra Large Dogs contains two active ingredients: fipronil, targeting adult fleas, and methoprene, addressing flea eggs and larvae. 

Fipronil functions by disrupting specific messenger channels in the nervous system of insects, leading to overstimulation and eventual death. On the other hand, methoprene, chemically akin to a naturally occurring insect growth hormone, hinders larvae growth and impedes the production of eggs in female insects. 

Uses and Dosage 

Before each application, carefully review the complete label and instructions for Frontline Plus for Extra Large Dogs. Adhere closely to all directions and precautionary measures. 

Frontline Plus for Extra Large Dogs is specifically formulated for dogs and should not be used on other animals, such as rabbits or cats. 

This medication should be applied monthly to dogs, as close to every 30 days as possible between treatments. 

To properly apply Frontline Plus for Extra Large Dogs: 

1. Take one applicator from its packaging. 
2. Hold the applicator upright, with the foil side facing you, and snap the applicator tip. 
3. Part the hair on the dog’s back between the shoulder blades to reveal the skin. 
4. Position the applicator tip directly against the exposed skin and apply all the contents directly onto the skin. 
   • Do not apply it on top of the hair. 
5. Allow the medication to naturally disperse over the skin.  
   • Refrain from bathing your dog or allowing them to swim for two days after application. 

Side Effects 

Side effects with Frontline Plus for Extra Large Dogs are rare but may include: 

• Itching, redness, or irritation at the application site 
• Drooling 
• Vomiting 
• Diarrhea 

If symptoms persist or intensify within a few days of application, promptly seek advice from a veterinarian. 

If any signs of skin irritation emerge, bathe your dog with mild soap and ample water.

Cautions 

Contact your veterinarian if: 

• Severe side effects are observed. 
• Your dog’s condition deteriorates or fails to improve with treatment. 
• You witness or suspect an overdose. 

Store Frontline Plus for Extra Large Dogs at controlled room temperatures, away from heat or open flames. Keep the medication in the provided container until ready for administration to shield it from moisture and light. 

Frontline Plus for Extra Large Dogs is not intended for human use and can be harmful if ingested.  

Refrain from contact with the treated area on your dog until it is fully dry and wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after application. In case of accidental ingestion or contact with eyes, seek immediate medical help.
