Description
Indications
This pharmaceutical agent constitutes an estrogen-based medication primarily prescribed to women to mitigate symptoms commonly associated with menopause, such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness. These symptoms are attributed to a decline in endogenous estrogen production within the body. In cases where treatment solely focusing on symptoms localized in the vaginal region is required, alternative formulations such as vaginal creams or tablets should be considered before utilizing this specific product.
Uses and Dosage
Femring (estradiol acetate vaginal ring) is highly effective in alleviating various symptoms associated with menopause.
Adhere closely to the prescribed dosing schedule, which is determined based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
Please ensure you wash and dry your hands before handling the ring. Insert the ring high into the vagina as directed. Leave the ring in place for 3 months and then replace it with a new one if treatment continues. Do not exceed the 3-month duration.
If the ring is inserted correctly, you should not feel it or experience discomfort during sexual intercourse. If you think the ring or experience slight discomfort, gently push it higher with your finger.
If the ring falls out, rinse it with lukewarm water and reinsert it. Consult your doctor if it falls out frequently.
Hatch your finger through the ring and gently pull it out to remove it. Contact your doctor if you have trouble removing it. Dispose of the used ring in the trash; do not flush it down the toilet.
