Description
Indications
Casodex is a medication classified as an anti-androgen that works by inhibiting the actions of androgens or male hormones in the body.
This medication is indicated for the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer, which has spread to other parts of the body.
Casodex is administered in combination with a luteinizing (LOO-tee-in-ize-ing) hormone-releasing hormone or LHRH, which aids in preventing the testicles from producing testosterone.
