Description
IndicationsÂ
Betnovate Cream is a prescribed topical medication used to alleviate inflammatory and pruritic symptoms associated with corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.Â
As a corticosteroid, Betnovate Cream alleviates skin inflammation by activating endogenous substances, thereby reducing symptoms of swelling, redness, and itching.Â
Uses and DosageÂ
Before using Betnovate Cream and with each prescription refill, thoroughly review its medication guide and patient information leaflet. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or clarifications.Â
Betnovate Cream is solely intended for topical application and should not come into contact with the eyes, or mouth, or be ingested. Unless otherwise advised by a physician, usage in the perineal and rectal regions, as well as skin folds and armpits, should be avoided.Â
Typically, Betnovate Cream is applied to the affected skin areas one to three times daily. Â
To properly apply the cream:Â
- Wash your hands thoroughly and dry them before application.Â
- Clean and dry the affected area before application.Â
- Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area, gently rubbing it in. (Do not apply on a skin area with an infection or sore)Â
- Do not bandage, cover, or wrap the treated area unless instructed by your doctor.Â
- After applying the medication, wash your hands, unless the cream is being used to treat the hands.Â
Use Betnovate Cream only as prescribed for your specific condition. Do not use it more often or for a longer duration than prescribed.Â
If your condition does not improve or worsens after two weeks of treatment, inform your doctor.Â
