Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion is a skin protectant that treats and prevents dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations. It also shields the skin from the dehydrating effects of wind and cold weather. 

This moisturizing lotion contains dimethicone as its active ingredient, an emollient that softens and moisturizes the skin while reducing itching and flaking. It works by forming an oily layer on the skin’s surface that traps water within the skin. 

Uses and Dosage 

Before using Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion, thoroughly read the instructions on the product package. For questions or concerns, consult with a doctor or pharmacist. 

Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion is strictly for external use. Avoid contact with eyes and do not apply it on deep or puncture wounds, animal bites, or severe burns. 

Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion is applied on the skin as needed.  

To properly use this lotion, follow these steps: 

1. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after using the lotion. However, if you are applying the lotion on your hands, you can skip washing them afterward. 
2. Clean the affected area before using the lotion. Make sure to dry it well before proceeding. 
3. Apply a thin layer of the lotion on the affected area. 
4. Gently rub the lotion into the skin until it is fully absorbed. 

Discontinue the use of this lotion and consult a doctor if the condition worsens or the symptoms persist for more than seven days or reoccur within a few days of clearing up. 

Keep Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion out of children’s reach. In case of ingestion, seek immediate medical assistance or contact a poison control center.

Serious Side Effects

Allergic Reactions 

A severe allergic reaction to Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion is uncommon; however, seek medical assistance immediately if you experience any symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, such as:

• Difficulty breathing 
• Severe dizziness
