Indications 

Aerochamber Child Medium Mask is a valved holding chamber device used with commonly prescribed metered-dose inhalers (MDIs) and soft mist inhalers to enhance inhalation and ensure efficient medication delivery to the lungs. 

This device holds the medication within its chamber, allowing gradual and deep inhalation for effective delivery to the lungs, while minimizing medication residue in the mouth. 

Moreover, Aerochamber Child Medium Mask features a dedicated flow-vu inhalation indicator that synchronizes with the user’s breath, providing visual confirmation of proper usage and medication delivery. 

Uses and Dosage 

Aerochamber Child Medium Mask should only be used in children under the supervision of a physician or licensed healthcare professional. Adhere to the instructions provided for proper usage and consult your doctor with any inquiries. 

Aerochamber Child Medium Mask is ready for immediate use upon opening. 

To properly use Aerochamber Child Medium Mask: 

1. Remove the inhaler cap and shake it before each use as directed.  
2. Insert the inhaler into the backpiece of the chamber. 
3. Apply the mask to the child’s face, ensuring an effective seal.  
   • The flow-vu inhalation indicator will move only if a good seal is created. 
4. Press the inhaler at the beginning of a slow inhalation as the flow-vu inhalation indicator moves toward the child.  
5. Maintain the seal for 5-6 breaths after the inhaler is pressed.  
   • Use the flow-vu inhalation indicator to count breaths.  
6. Administer 1 puff at a time and follow the instructions provided with the inhaler on how long to wait before repeating steps 3-5, as prescribed. 

Aerochamber Child Medium Mask should be cleaned weekly. 

For proper cleaning: 

1. Detach the back piece and twist to remove the front piece.  
2. Submerge the parts in a mild solution of liquid dish soap and lukewarm water for 15 minutes.  
3. Gently swish and rinse in clean water, or place in the top rack of the dishwasher without heat drying. Add a rinse aid if using a dishwasher.  
4. Shake off excess water and let the parts air dry vertically.  
5. Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembly.  
6. To reassemble, securely lock the front piece onto the end of the chamber by twisting it firmly.  
7. Align the backpiece feature with the flow-vu inhalation indicator, then firmly attach it to complete reassembly. 

Cautions 

Do not expose the Aerochamber Child Medium Mask to temperatures above 158 F (70 C) during boiling, sterilization, or dishwasher cleaning, as it may cause permanent damage. 

Do not wash the Aerochamber Child Medium Mask in a dishwasher with heavily soiled dishes. 

Avoid sharing Aerochamber Child Medium Mask between children, as it is not designed for multiple users. 

Do not leave the Aerochamber Child Medium Mask unattended with children.
