Indications 

BD Luer-Lok syringes are premium quality disposable syringes with a Luer-Lok tip. The Luer-Lok design ensures a secure connection between the syringe and a compatible needle or other device. These syringes are available in assorted sizes, including 60 mL.  

BD Luer-Lok syringes are typically provided in a sterile, single-use format. This ensures the safety and cleanliness of the syringe for medical or other applications. It is commonly used in various medical procedures, laboratory settings, and other applications where precise measurement and controlled dispensing of fluids are required. 

Use and Dosage 

To use BD Disposable Luer Lok 60mL syringes, follow these general steps: 

1. Preparation: Ensure that you are working in a clean and sterile environment. Wash your hands thoroughly and gather all necessary supplies, including the syringe, needle (if needed), medication or fluid to be drawn or administered, and any other required equipment. 
2. Inspect the syringe: Check the packaging of the BD Disposable Luer Lok 60mL syringe for any signs of damage or compromise. If the packaging is intact, open it and inspect the syringe for any visible defects or contamination. Do not use a syringe that appears damaged or compromised. 
3. Attach the needle (if needed): If you are using a needle, ensure that it is sterile and compatible with the Luer Lok tip of the syringe. Remove the protective cap from the needle and attach it securely to the syringe by twisting it onto the Luer Lok tip in a clockwise direction. Make sure the connection is tight to prevent leakage or detachment. 
4. Draw the medication or fluid: If you are using the syringe to draw medication or fluid, first ensure that the plunger is pushed all the way into the barrel. Remove any protective caps from the needle or Luer Lok tip. Insert the needle or Luer Lok tip into the vial or container containing the medication or fluid. Slowly pull back on the plunger to draw the desired amount of medication or fluid into the syringe. 
5. Remove air bubbles: After drawing the medication or fluid, check the syringe for any air bubbles. If present, gently tap the syringe to make the bubbles rise to the top. Slowly push the plunger up to expel the air bubbles from the syringe. Be careful not to push out any of the medication or fluid. 
6. Administer the medication or fluid: If you are using the syringe to administer medication or fluid, choose the appropriate injection site and follow the recommended injection technique. Slowly and steadily push the plunger to administer the medication or fluid. Follow any additional instructions or guidelines provided by healthcare professionals or the medication manufacturer. 

After use, carefully detach the needle (if used) from the syringe by twisting it off in a counterclockwise direction. Place the used syringe and needle in a puncture-resistant sharps container or follow the proper disposal guidelines in your area.

• Sterility: Ensure that the syringe is in a sterile condition before use. Check the packaging for any signs of damage or tampering. Do not use it if the package is compromised. 
• Single-use: BD Disposable Luer Lok 60mL syringes are intended for single-use only. Do not reuse the syringe to prevent the risk of contamination or infection. 
• Proper disposal: After use, dispose of the syringe properly according to the regulations and guidelines in your area. Follow proper medical waste disposal procedures to prevent accidental injury or contamination. 
• Compatibility: Ensure that the syringe is compatible with the intended application and any other devices or components that will be used with it.  
• Handling and storage: Handle the syringe with care to avoid any damage or breakage. Store the syringes in a cool, dry place and protect them from direct sunlight.
