Sleep Eze Extra Strength Gelcaps are used to alleviate occasional nighttime sleeplessness and insomnia. 

Classified as an antihistamine, Sleep Eze Extra Strength Gelcaps function by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance produced by the body. Histamine is generated in response to allergens, but they regulate the sleep-wake cycle as well. 

Uses and Dosage 

Read the information on the packaging of Sleep Eze Extra Strength Gelcaps before using it for the first time, and each time you get a refill. If you have any queries, ask your doctor or pharmacist for assistance. 

The usual recommended intake of Sleep Eze Extra Strength Gelcaps is one capsule before bedtime if needed.  

Take this medication exactly as directed to maximize its efficacy. Do not exceed the prescribed dosage unless advised by your doctor. 

If morning drowsiness occurs, seek advice from your doctor, as a lower dosage may be necessary. 

Discontinue the use of Sleep Eze Extra Strength Gelcaps and consult a doctor if sleeplessness persists for more than two weeks. It could be indicative of a serious underlying medical condition.

Common Side Effects 

• Feeling dizzy, sleepy, or having trouble coordinating movements 
• Dryness in the mouth, nose, or throat 
• Constipation or an upset stomach 
• Dry eyes or blurred vision 
• Feeling drowsy during the day or having a “hangover” sensation after taking the medication 

Consult your healthcare provider if any of the listed common side effects continue or worsen. 

Serious Side Effects 

• Heart pounding or fluttering in the chest 
• Pain or difficulty when urinating 
• Little or no urine output 
• Confused or like you might faint 
• Tightness in the neck or jaw or uncontrollable movements of the tongue 

Stop taking Sleep Eze Extra Strength Gelcaps and contact your healthcare provider if serious side effects occur. 

Allergic Reactions 

Get emergency medical help if you experience symptoms of an allergic response to Sleep Eze Extra Strength Gelcaps, such as: 

• Hives 
• Trouble breathing 
• Swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat

Cautions 

Before using Sleep Eze Extra Strength Gelcaps, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you: 

• Have other medical conditions such as: 
• Breathing problem (e.g., emphysema or chronic bronchitis) 
• Glaucoma 
• Difficulty urinating 
• Are taking other medications, particularly sedatives or tranquilizers 
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding 

Avoid using Sleep Eze Extra Strength Gelcaps if: 

• You are elderly, as it may cause excitement rather than sedation 
• Are using any other product containing diphenhydramine, even if it is for topical use
